Also known as the Samurai Warrior, the Black Ninja, Krusty the Clown, Doink the Clown or Gary Lee.

Gary wrestled in the professional circuit for over 9 years, and in 1997 decided to capitalize on the wrestling mania by opening up a school for professional wrestling – known as The Grappler’s Den, in Simi Valley, CA.

“Wrestling is kind of addictive. It’s fun,” said Key, who previously taught the theatrical and athletic sport at Southern California’s nearest wrestling school, San Bernardino’s School of Hard Knocks. “I was in martial arts for some time, and wrestling got me completely out of martial arts. This school will allow me to run my own show and share the excitement with others.”

What prompted Gary “Krusher” Key to promote the Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge?

“The decision was simple” states Gary. “I saw an opportunity to address a

growing concern in our country, and that is the obesity epidemic. What better way to reach our community? Here’s a simple way to reach your fitness or weight loss goals. Join the challenge, stay committed for 90 days, and reach your goals, all while getting healthy, and having some fun.”

More fun things are in store, as Gary prepares to partner with the community to bring the challenge to the Ventura county area.

Gary has already partnered with local organizations in the Ventura county area, having helped raise funds for the Fillmore Little League in May of this year.

“When we do shows, we break even basically. We’ve done a lot of fundraising shows like the one in May for the Fillmore Little League,” he said. “We get a lot of people coming to those events and they really love it,” he said. “I’ll be happy if I can make enough to pay the bills and keep teaching.”

Key said the Fillmore fundraiser was very successful. “We did really well. There were over 400 people there,” he said.

He said he is working on bringing a show to downtown Ventura later this year.

“We have some very exciting things in the works, and I loved the idea that this challenge can also help us to help worthwhile charitible organizations in the process as well”.

Key opened the Grappler’s Den on Market Street in Ventura in mid-April and is accepting students who are interested in the sport. He said he has about eight students so far. “I’m keeping it low key and I’m only interested in working with people who are serious,” he said. “I’m not much into the extreme wrestling or the silly stuff that goes on. I’m old school. If you can get into the ring and not touch your opponent for 20 minutes but still entertain me, that’s wrestling.”
